54 people hurt in explosions after munitions depot fire in Ukraine’s Svatovo

The fire at the depot holding about 3,500 shells for Grad, Smerch and Uragan multiple launch missile systems started on Thursday evening

KIEV, October 30. /TASS/. As many as 54 people were hurt in a series of explosions that followed a fire at a munitions depot in Svatovo, a city in the Kiev-controlled area in the eastern Ukrainian Luhansk region, the press service of the local administration said on Friday.

The fire at the depot holding about 3,500 shells for Grad, Smerch and Uragan multiple launch missile systems started on Thursday evening. The fire area is about 9,000 square meters. Several dwelling houses, a school and a gas pipeline were damaged in explosions.
