NEW YORK, September 29. /TASS/. EU Foreign Policy Chief Federica Mogherini has described her meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly session in New York as "good and useful."

"The meeting was good and useful," Mogherini said. We discussed "all issues," she added.

The meeting of Lavrov and Mogherini was held behind closed doors. As expected, the parties discussed the Syrian issue, the situation in Ukraine and the migration problem.

Earlier on Tuesday, Lavrov met with NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg.
