KIEV, September 3. /TASS/. A Ukrainian court has arrested four men on the suspicion of plotting a terrorist attack in Kiev, Ukrainian Security Service spokesperson, Yelena Gitlyanskaya, said on television.
"All four have been remanded in custody. Investigation is in progress," she said.
Gitlyanskaya said the arrested had plotted terrorist attacks in Kiev "for intimidating local civilians."
Earlier, the Ukrainian Security Service declared it had held an operation to neutralize a group that was planning terrorist attacks in Kiev. Four suspects were detained. One of them put up resistance and blew up an RGD-5 hand grenade. One of the suspects sustained an injury to his leg.
The Ukrainian Security Service opened a criminal case under the article "Terrorist Act."
