MOSCOW, August 27. /TASS/. The combat ships of Russia and China have completed the active phase of the Joint Sea-2015 naval drills, the largest exercise in the history of cooperation between the two navies, spokesman for Russia’s Eastern Military District Roman Martov said on Thursday.
"During practical measures at sea and on the coast on August 23-27, sailors from the navies of both countries practiced joint maneuvering, anti-sabotage, anti-submarine, anti-aircraft and anti-ship defense," the spokesman said.
"The maneuvers culminated in the joint landing of marine and airborne troops at the Klerk shooting range in the southern part of the Primorye Territory, which was held for the first time on the territory of Russia," the spokesman said.
The joint naval drills involved 22 warships and support vessels, 15 aircraft and helicopters, two drones, over 500 marine troops and 40 pieces of combat hardware.
