US rock star says he wears ring with Russian coat of arms as "truth lives in Russia"
Ex-vocalist of Deep Purple and Rainbow Joe Lynn Turner told TASS he doesn't love the US anymore and will move to Belarus if Alexander Lukashenko lets him do it
SIMFEROPOL, August 12. /TASS/. American rock singer Joe Lynn Turner, an ex-vocalist of Deep Purple and Rainbow, said he was wearing a ring with the Russian coat of arms as "the truth lives in Russia."
"I’ve been wearing a Russian Federation ring for many years because I know the truth lives here. And I believe right now this time Russia is going to be the great power that it already has been and that good always overcomes evil," Turner told reporters in Simferopol, the capital of Crimea.
He said western media reports about events in Crimea were "none of the truth."
"It’s unbelievable how they influence people’s minds," said Turner who is planning to give concerts in the Crimean cities of Feodosia, Yalta and Sevastopol.
"I am very proud of the people of Crimea," he added. "The people here have their truth and I see what that referendum was about."
Turner said he was not afraid of any sanctions that could follow his concerts in Crimea.
"Warnings, sanctions - this does not apply to music. I play for people, not politics. Politics cannot enslave the human soul. People, especially the Russian people, have incredible strength of spirit throughout history. I believe that God is the truth and the truth lives in Russia," he concluded.

"I think I have found a new life and a new home," said Turner who is planning to give concerts in the Crimean cities of Feodosia, Yalta and Sevastopol.
