Verkhovna Rada will be able to put constitutional amendments to vote in early September
The Constitutional Court of Ukraine earlier ruled that the draft constitutional amendments relating to decentralization on the whole didn’t run counter to the country’s Constitution
KIEV, July 31. /TASS/. Chairman of Ukraine’s Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Groysman has said he hopes lawmakers will be able to consider the draft law on the constitutional amendments relating to decentralization at the beginning of September.
"I hope we will be able to put the draft law to vote in the session hall as early as at the beginning of September," he wrote on his Facebook page on Friday.
Groysman noted that "the judges had carefully considered every paragraph of the [constitutional] amendments and recognized their validity." "The draft law will thus be returned to the Verkhovna Rada for passing the final decision," he added.
Earlier on Friday, the Constitutional Court of Ukraine ruled that the draft constitutional amendments relating to decentralization on the whole didn’t run counter to the country’s Constitution.
