Tajikistan seeks world support for $100 million flood damage repairs

Flooding is reported to have claimed seven lives

DUSHANBE, July 21./TASS/. Central Asia's Tajikistan republic is asking the world community to help finance $100 million of flood damage reconstruction.

"Restoration of the transport system and energy sector has begun in order to deliver humanitarian aid," a Foreign Ministry statement said.

Flooding is reported to have claimed seven lives. Five people are believed missing.
