Russia’s investigators have enough proof of use of barbaric methods by Ukrainian military
According to the Russian Investigative Committee spokesman, cluster bombs and present-day modifications of phosphorous bombs that are banned by international conventions are being used in Ukraine
MOSCOW, July 13. /TASS/. Russia’s Investigations Committee said on Monday it has cumulated more than 2,500 volumes of proofs evidencing jesuitical methods used by the Ukrainian military against civilian populations.
"We have enough evidence, both in terms of volume (more than 2,500 volumes) and in terms of quality, to prove that Ukrainian armed groups use jesuitical destruction methods against civilian population (such as the use of cluster bombs and present-day modifications of phosphorous bombs that are banned by international conventions)," Investigations Committee Spokesman Vladimir Markin said.
He said the committee was currently investigating a number of criminal cases on the developments in Ukraine’s south-eastern regions on such charges as the use of prohibited means and methods of warfare and genocide. "Both articles are part of the Russian Criminal Code’s section on crimes against peace and security of the humankind," Markin said.
Earlier on Monday, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Moscow had evidence of crimes against humanity committed by the Ukrainian military in the Donetsk and Luhansk people’s republics. "The Russian side is carrying out its own investigations into a number of incidents," he said. "Even on the basis of the interim investigation data we may say that there are incidents which may be qualified as crimes against humanity in Donbass."
After the self-proclaimed republics applied to the United Nations Security Council asking to set up an international tribunal to investigate war crimes committed during Kiev’s punitive operation in Donbas, Russia’s Investigations Committee said it was ready to submit to international courts proofs of crimes committed by Ukrainian armed groups.
