Tajikistan stands for enhancing CSTO potential — President Rakhmon
On Thursday, Dushanbe will host a regular meeting of the Council of CSTO defence ministers
DUSHANBE, June 4. /TASS/. Tajikistan stands for enhancing potential of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), Tajikistan’s President Emomali Rakhmov said on Thursday at a meeting with SCTO defence ministers.
"Our organization is one of the key factors of preserving peace in the region of its responsibility. It is geared to forge an efficient security belt in the common space," he said.
Tajikistan, according to Rakhmov, "attaches priority importance to cooperation within the Collective Security Treaty Organization and stands for further enhancing its potential."
On Thursday, Dushanbe will host a regular meeting of the Council of CSTO defence ministers.
This organization includes Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan.
