RIGA, May 22. /TASS/. There is no problem of political prisoners in Belarus, the country’s Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei said on Friday following the Eastern Partnership summit in Riga.

"The problem of political prisoners doesn’t exist in Belarus. Yes, there are people who are in prison for committing specific legal wrongs, for committing specific crimes. I cannot understand why people throwing Molotov cocktails can be classified as ‘political prisoners’. No matter where it happens - outside the building of Russia’s embassy, near the building of the Belarusian Federation of Trade Unions or the Defence Ministry building," he said.
