MOSCOW, May 5. /TASS/. Donetsk has had a tense night, the mayor’s office said on Tuesday, adding that as a result of shellings one house in the Kuybyshevsky district has been ruined.

"Local citizens said the sounds of heavy weapons were occasionally heard," the authorities said. The overnight combat actions have also left 36 transformer substations disconnected in two districts.

As of 8.30 a.m. local time (05.30 GMT) on Tuesday "the situation in the city was rather calm," the mayor’s office said. The local citizens have reported no new incidents so far.

The Ukrainian troops and militias of the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics have repeatedly accused each other of violating ceasefire that came into force from February 15 under the package of measures on implementing the Minsk agreements.
