DPR and LPR opens representative office in South Ossetia
MOSCOW, April 28. /TASS/. A representative office of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) opened in South Ossetia's Tskhinval on Tuesday, the press service of the DPR Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
"DPR Foreign Minister Alexander Kofman opened the DPR representative mission in South Ossetia. The office will focus on the political and economic issues," the statement said.
The South Ossetian representative mission opened in Donetsk on April 16. The Republic of South Ossetia officially recognized the Donetsk People’s Republic on June 27, 2014.
A representative office of the self-proclaimed Lugansk People's Republic (LPR) opened in South Ossetia's capital city of Tskhinval on Tuesday, the LuganskInformTsentr news agency said.
"We hope for mutual understanding, cooperation and fruitful interaction between our republics," Head of the LPR Prime Minister’s Staff Natalia Khorsheva said during the opening ceremony.
