Buzina’s murder confirms Nazism is raising head in Ukraine — DPR’s official
Today, people feel uncomfortable in Ukraine, including Odessa and Kharkiv, because a Nazi state is being built in their country, the speaker of DPR's People's Council says
MOSCOW, April 17 /TASS/. The killing of Ukrainian journalist Oles Buzina confirms that the Kiev authorities are on the way to Nazism, Andrey Purgin, the speaker of the People’s Council (legislature) of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic, told journalists on Friday.
Ukrainian journalist and writer Oles Buzina was shot dead near his home in central Kiev on April 16.
"Buzina’s murder in Kiev is another confirmation that Ukraine is moving towards Nazism. Today, people feel uncomfortable in Ukraine, including Odessa and Kharkiv, because a Nazi state is being built in their country. The rulers of that state consider the people in south-eastern Ukraine to be second rate citizens," the Donetsk news agency quoted Purgin as saying.
DPR’s Head Alexander Zakharchenko said a day earlier on Thursday that the Kiev authorities were standing behind Buzina’s murder. They have launched a "witch hunt" on those who tell the truth. Many more people who are fighting for justice in Ukraine are going to become their victims, Zakharchenko said.
"Oles Buzina was not a DPR supporter but he told the truth about what’s going on in Ukraine which is a civil feat in today’s Kiev," Zakharchenko said.
"Any point of view which is falling out of line with official Kiev is like a knife in the heart of the junta. They will not stop at Oles Buzina’s death and will continue exterminating dissentient people," the DPR head said.
Oles Buzina is a well-known Ukrainian journalist, writer and TV anchorman. He is the author of two books, including "Vampire Taras Shevchenko" and "The Union of Plough and Trident. How Ukraine was Invented?" Buzina stepped down as the chief editor of the Segodnya newspaper in March this year.
