Arms supplies are coming from Lithuania, although it is not disclosed what types of weapons are being supplied

MOSCOW, April 3. /TASS/. Russia sees no offensive weaponry supplies to Kiev so far, Russia’s permanent representative at the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Andrei Kelin said on Friday.

"As of this moment, it is known that arms supplies are coming from Lithuania, although it is not disclosed what types of weapons are being supplied. Other countries make only non-military supplies. The United Kingdom and the United States are supplying off-road vehicles. Such kind of assistance is a drop in the sea of Kiev’s requests," the Russian envoy said.

"Fortunately, we currently do not observe any supplies of lethal weapons so far - either offensive or defensive," he said.

Offensive armaments supplies threaten to undermine the peace process in east Ukraine, the envoy said.

"There are no doubts that such supplies on a massive scale, if they are made, will disrupt the truce," the Russian diplomat said.

The issue of armaments supplies is raised for speculative purposes, the Russian envoy said. "This is rather a desire to draw one’s attention and secure some aid," he said.
