More than 240,000 displaced people are being housed in Cameroon's refugee camps
MOSCOW, February 19. /TASS/. A 37-ton food cargo was despatched to the Central African state of Cameroon from Russia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations on Thursday for thousands of refugees fleeing conflict across its border.
In two stages of relief aid coordinated with the International Civil Defense Organization, a ship is due to sail from St. Petersburg with more than 1,800 items of food bound for Cameroon's major port at Douala, the ministry said.
More than 240,000 displaced people are being housed in Cameroon's refugee camps. The coming rainy season is expected to bring a food supply crisis.
