LUHANSK, February 13. /TASS/. Three people died and four more were injured in the shelling of residential areas in Luhansk from multiple rocket launch systems, the emergencies minister of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR) Sergey Ivanushkin said on Friday.
Last night, the city was shelled twice, Ivanushkin said. The first shelling came at around 10:30pm local time in the eastern part of Luhansk. 52 explosions were registered when Smerch rockets hit targets.
"Apart from residential houses, [Smerch rockets] hit a fire department, a dairy plant, a gas pipeline, Vostochnaya boiler station and a kindergarten," Ivanushkin said.
The second shelling was carried out from Grad multiple rocket launcher at around 3:45am local time. Rockets hit residential houses located close to the center of the city.
"They hit the Donbas Proletariat block. The object is being inspected. A team of explosives experts has just started their work," the minister noted.
