Finland's Prime Minister Alexander Stubb hailed the news of the ceasefire agreement but said it is necessary to see if it will be implemented in practice
BRUSSELS, February 12. /TASS/. If German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Francois Hollande consider the "Normandy format" talks in Minsk successful, the European Union will impose no new sanctions against Russia, Finland's Prime Minister Alexander Stubb said on Thursday.
"If they say that the talks failed, sanctions will follow," Stubb said.
He hailed the news of the ceasefire agreement in south-eastern Ukraine. "But we should see how it will be implemented in practice," Stubb said.
