A constructive NATO-Russia relationship would benefit the Euro-Atlantic community and the entire international order, Jens Stoltenberg said at the Munich Security Conference

MUNICH, February 6. /TASS/. NATO does not seek confrontation with Russia, the alliance's secretary general, Jens Stoltenberg, said at the Munich Security Conference on Friday.

"Since the end of the Cold War, we have worked tirelessly for a constructive relationship. Our goal has been to involve Russia — not to isolate her," Stoltenberg said.

"Cooperation benefitted NATO. But it also benefitted Russia. And it can benefit us both again," he said adding that cooperation should "be based on trust and respect."
