Konstantin Dolgov drew attention to the latest instances of Jews being persecuted by ultra-nationalists, mentioned in the Foreign Ministry’s book on the violation of human rights in Ukraine

MOSCOW, January 27. /TASS/. Neo-Nazism is the greatest challenge to both Europe and the entire international community, the Russian Foreign Ministry’s commissioner for human rights, democracy and the rule of law, Konstantin Dolgov, told the Rossiya-24 television news channel on Tuesday.

The diplomat recalled that Russian President Vladimir Putin has just offered a high-principled description of current western policies of connivance with neo-Nazism, first and foremost in Ukraine.

"What we have been hearing over the past few days is a flagrant falsehood and a very dangerous policy," Dolgov said.

He drew attention to the latest instances of Jews being persecuted by ultra-nationalists, mentioned in the Foreign Ministry’s book on the violation of human rights in Ukraine.

Dolgov recalled a recent interview with Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman, who voiced serious concern over the persecution of Jews in European countries.

"Apparently, there are certain statistics," Dolgov said. "We are faced with a very alarming phenomenon - neo-Nazism, anti-Semitism, xenophobia and Islamophobia. And in other countries, as a response - persecution of Christians."

"That’s a powerful delayed action bomb planted under international security and stability," Dolgov said.
