US, UK to hold joint cyber security drills
David Cameron and Barack Obama are expected to discuss the fight against Islamic State, preparation of an agreement on Iran’s nuclear program, the situation around Ukraine and relations with Russia
WASHINGTON, January 16. /TASS/. The United States and UK will conduct this year joint cyber security drills, focusing on protection from attacks on computer networks of financial institutions and strategic infrastructural objects in London and New York. The two countries are to unite their efforts to be one step ahead of those who plan attacks, said UK Prime Minister David Cameron who arrived in Washington on a visit on Thursday.
Cameron on Thursday met with US President Barack Obama at dinner at the White House. On Friday they will hold talks and give a joint news conference.
In addition to cyber security issues, they are also expected to discuss the fight against terrorism, including against the Islamic State terrorist group, preparation of an agreement on Iran’s nuclear program, the situation around Ukraine and relations with Russia.
