MOSCOW, January 10. /TASS/. Russian emergencies ministry rescuers have participated in lifting the crashed AirAsia jet's tail off the sea bed, the head of the ministry’s team working in Indonesia said on Saturday.
“Russian rescuers have been involved in this complex technical operation to raise the tail section of the fuselage of the Airbus A320,” Eduard Chizhikov said, noting that Russian rescuers were the only foreign specialists participating in the operation.
“They conducted diving operations,” he said, adding that the Indonesian ship Crest Onyx also played an important role in pulling the jet’s submerged tail section out of the water.
“The tail part of the airbus has been loaded onto the ship’s deck and is currently being searched for black box recorders,” Chizhikov said.
