CSTO states plan to set up collective air force
A plan of joint events in operational and combat training for 2015 is expected to be approved at a joint meeting of CSTO foreign, defense ministers and secretaries of security councils
MOSCOW, December 22. /TASS/. Member states of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) plan to establish collective air force.
This issue was put on the agenda of a joint meeting between CSTO foreign, defense ministers and secretaries of security councils within a joint CSTO military cooperation development concept. Participants in the meeting will talk streamlining of Collective Rapid Response Forces and Collective Rapid Deployment Forces in Central Asian collective security region, Russian Defense Ministry said.
“Participants in the meeting will consider creation of CSTO collective air force. A plan of joint events in operational and combat training for 2015 is expected to be approved,” the defense agency noted.
Tajikistan’s CSTO presidency in 2015 will be given close attention. A CSTO session at which Tajikistan will take over regional organization’s presidency from Russia will be held in Moscow on December 23.
