Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic commented on the powers of the Russian emergency center in Serbia

MOSCOW, December 19. /TASS/. Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic on Friday dismissed allegations that Russia is planning to open a military base in Serbia. The Serbian top diplomat commented on the powers of the Russian emergency center in Serbia. An agreement to create the center was signed in 2011.

"This has nothing to do with reality," Dacic said after talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. “I signed the agreement on this centre with my friend Sergei Shoigu. It's a good thing having nothing to do with West saying it's a military base,” Dacic said.

“Then a question arose if this center has any regional powers. It has no such powers in the essence of being a replacement for any other European mechanisms. The center's staff will work in other countries only if these countries wish that,” he said.
