Moscow says the international community should not shake loose the situation in Ukraine
MOSCOW, December 19. /TASS/. Any talk about weapons supplies to Ukraine or plans for such supplies run counter to the goal of achieving a peace settlement of the Ukrainian crisis, Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Aleksey Meshkov told the media.
“Russia’s fundamental position is this: irrespective of whatever statements may be made and whoever may be making them, the international community should not shake loose the situation in Ukraine, but work for a peace settlement, a constitutional reform in Ukraine and a dialogue between Kiev and the south-east,” Meshkov said.
“Any talk about and plans for weapons supplies to Ukraine run counter to these goals,” he added.
