No problems with food security in Luhansk — self-proclaimed republic leader

Eleven meat-and fish processing factories, two dairy plants and 16 storage facilities to store fruits and fruit products operate in the self-proclaimed republic

LUHANSK, December 12. /TASS/. Food security has been 100% ensured in the self-proclaimed Luhansk People’s Republic, Agriculture and Foodstuffs Minister Yuri Roshchupkin said on Friday.

The ministry’s specialists made calculations for this year. “Many people address us and ask: will foodstuffs be enough for this year? A detailed analysis has been done. I want to calm everyone: we have everything to complete this year,” he said.

At present, the ministry is working out programs for horticulture, stock breeding and vegetable production that will make it possible to ensure food security in 2015.
