LUHANSK, December 9. /TASS/. Official representatives of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR) have not received an invitation to participate in the talks of the Contact Group on Ukraine in Minsk, LPR’s official envoy for negotiations said on Tuesday.

“Who should we talk to? I have not received any invitation. According to media reports, the Ukrainian side insists on holding the negotiations on December 9. We plan on holding them this week,” said Vladislav Deynego, who is also deputy chairman of LPR’s parliament, the People’s Council.

Deynego said implementation of the silence regime in Donbas remains the most important issue. “We should clearly specify the conditions for the silence regime and how to assess its fulfillment,” he said.

The LPR leadership is also expected to discuss a possibility of swapping prisoners of war, lifting the economic blockade and implementation of laws on the special status of Donbas and amnesty for militias.

“We insist on the political and economic independence of Donbas. The law on a special status has been implemented only 50%. That’s why there is no understanding of Ukraine’s stance,” he said.

Earlier on Tuesday, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko failed to confirm the date of the next meeting in Minsk on the settlement of the ongoing Ukrainian conflict. LPR’s leader Igor Plotnitsky earlier said the date for the Minsk meeting has been provisionally set for December 12 and the final date is still a subject for approval.
