Biden’s visit to Ukraine aimed at disruption of peace process — Donetsk republic official
Washington openly states that it is necessary to supply lethal weaponry to Kiev, thus proposing a new war insted of Minsk talks
DONETSK, November 21. /TASS/. The visit by US Vice-President Joseph Biden to Kiev is aimed at disruption of the peace process in eastern Ukraine and may lead to escalation of the conflict, Deputy Chairman of the People’s Council (parliament) of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) Denis Pushilin said on Friday.
“The aim of Biden’s visit to Kiev is disruption of the peace process. Washington’s proposals to change the Minsk format of talks for some other may lead to reescalation of the conflict. Americans want to get into the process themsleves to weaken the European Union’s peacemaking positions,” Pushilin said.
“Americans want to remove the DPR and LPR from the process. But it will finally deadlock the situation. Washington openly states that it is necessary to supply lethal weaponry to Kiev. Thus, the United States proposes a new war instead of Minsk talks. From the very beginning, it approved bloodshed in Ukraine, first at Maidan, later in Odessa and the southeast,” the vice-speaker said.
"As Ukraine at present is under external control of the Washington administration, there are no doubts that Poroshenko, Yatsenyuk and other puppets will support aggressive ideas of Biden. Instead of de-escalation, we may be faced with re-escalation of tension and, highly probable, a new war,” Pushilin said.
Biden and Poroshenko are fully responsible for possible disruption of the Minsk talks, he added.
