KIEV, November 14. /TASS/. The OSCE Special Monitoring Mission in Ukraine has been expanded to 500 people, the mission’s deputy chief, Alexander Hug, said on Friday.

A total of 350 monitors out of 500 observers will work in the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics, Hug said.

OSCE observers will monitor the situation and facilitate the peaceful settlement of the conflict, he said.

Hug said the OSCE is not dealing with the investigation into the causes of the Malaysia Airline Boeing jet crash. The investigation of the Boeing crash is conducted by specialists from the Netherlands. The OSCE has no relation to it, he said.

At the moment, OSCE observers have not noted any threat to security of Dutch specialists in the crash site. The situation is estimated as safe, Hug said.
