Ukraine's Opposition Bloc ready to contest Rada election results in several districts
“We will contest the falsified results in international courts," the Opposition Bloc party led by former energy minister Yuriy Boiko said in a statement
KIEV, November 11. /TASS/. The Opposition Bloc party led by former energy minister Yuriy Boiko said on Tuesday it did not recognize the elections to the Verkhovna Rada in several districts.
The Opposition Bloc party urges the world community do denounce them as illegitimate.
The party members consider the election results in several districts “disgraceful for Ukrainian democracy.” “The announcement of falsified election results in the 38th polling station will also be a disgrace,” the statement said.
“What happened in these polling stations is exactly the opposite of fair and transparent elections,” it said.
“We will contest the falsified results in international courts. Our electors whose voting right was stolen do not agree with such results,” the statement said.
“The current authorities fall under the law on lustration because they cannot be considered legitimate due to the election falsification. Those who took a direct part in the falsifications and all top officials, whose inaction covered these falsifications, come within the lustration law. Sooner or later ballot-riggers will be in court,” the statement said.
The parliamentary elections in Ukraine took place on October 26. According to the Central Election Commission data, Boyko’s Opposition Bloc can get 29 seats.
