Netherlands initiates Boeing debris delivery delay for indefinite time
According to Donetsk republican Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Netherlands does not accept the wording of a protocol for jet debris delivery and therefore refuses to sign it
DONETSK, November 11. /TASS/. Dutch specialists initiated an indefinite delay in the delivery of debris of a Malaysian Boeing jet which crashed near war-torn eastern Ukrainian city of Donetsk in July, the Information Ministry of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic told reporters on Tuesday.
“Today loading of jet debris should start and we plan to arrange a press tour to the jet’s crash site, however, the Netherlands informed us about delayed start of delivery for an indefinite period of time late on Monday evening,” the press center said.
The Netherlands does not accept the wording of a protocol prepared by representatives of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), the Donetsk People’s Republic and the Netherlands for jet debris delivery and therefore they refuse to sign it, a source in Donetsk republican Ministry of Emergency Situations said.
Cars of Dutch experts are currently parked at hotel Park Inn in the city of Donetsk and these specialists refrain from any comments to the media.
The MH17 jet en route from Dutch city of Amsterdam to Malaysia’s capital Kuala Lumpur crashed in the Donetsk region on July 17, killing all 298 passengers and crew aboard. As many as 193 making a majority of passengers were Dutch citizens.
