Nigeria school blast kills more than 50 students

PRETORIA, November 10. /TASS/. An explosion at a school in the north-eastrn Nigerian town of Potiskum killed more than 50 people, a local radio station said on Monday, November 10.
The blast took occurred during the general meeting in the morning, the radio station quotes as law enforcement officials as saying. The meeting was attended by around 2,000 students.
At present, hospitals continue to admit patients following the incident.

Those who survived claim that the explosive device was detonated by a suicide bomber dressed as a student.
A Nigerian army unit was sent to the site. But the servicemen were chased away by the locals outraged by the government inability to stop the extremists.
In another explosion last week which was carried out by a suicide bomber, 30 people were killed in Potiskum.
