Amnesty International urges unbiased investigation of deaths of children in Donetsk

LONDON, November 6. /TASS/. Amnesty International, a human rights organization, has called for an immediate and unbiased investigation of the deaths of two children who were killed as their school in Donetsk, eastern Ukraine came under shelling.

“The deaths of two children killed by shelling while they played football on a school playing field in eastern Ukraine must be immediately, fully and impartially investigated,” Amnesty International said on Wednesday. “Today’s shocking attack in Donetsk must by fully investigated. If it is found to constitute a war crime, those responsible must be brought to justice.”

Earlier on Wednesday, the press service of the interior ministry of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) said that two schoolchildren had been killed in Donetsk in shelling of the school.

“An artillery shell hit the building of school number 53. Te children were playing footbaal in front of the school at the moment. They died of wounds,” the press service said.
