LUHANSK, October 27. /TASS/. The leader of the proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) Igor Plotnitsky said on Monday he doubts that Sunday's elections to the Ukrainian parliament were legitimate.

“If they consider our territories part of Ukraine, the question is how can the elections be considered legitimate as some part of the country did not take part in the vote” Plotnitsky said commenting on the election results.

He also expressed hope that the voter turnout at the elections of LPR's head and People's Council members scheduled for November 2 will exceed 50%.

Early parliamentary elections took place Sunday in Ukraine. Petro Poroshenko Bloc seems to win after part of the votes have been counted. It's followed by People’s Front led by Prime Minister Arseny Yatsenyuk.
