"We watched a pretty good Russian withdrawal from Ukraine but you may be sure that some of the Russian troops remain in the territory of Ukraine", said NATO Allied Commander Europe Philip Breedlove

BRUSSELS, October 24 /TASS/. NATO continues claims that Russia still has troops stationed in Ukraine, Gen. Philip Breedlove, NATO Supreme Allied Commander Europe, told journalists in Mons, Belgium, on Friday.

We watched a pretty good Russian withdrawal from Ukraine but you may be sure that some of the Russian troops remain in the territory of Ukraine, he said.

According to Breedlove, some Russian troops are still deployed near Russia’s border with Ukraine. The forces that are staying there and are showing no intention to leave are extremely combat-capable,” he added.

It has become common for NATO to make such remarks each time that high-level meetings take place in Brussels. This time, the Ukraine crisis was part of the agenda of a regular EU summit which is currently under way in the Belgian capital.
