NEW-YORK, October 22. /TASS/. Federal Bureau of Investigation suspects that three young American females earlier detained in Germany had an intention of joining the militants of the Islamic State movement in Syria, FBI representative Susie Payne informed Tuesday.

Three females from Denver, Colorado, whose names are not mentioned, were detained in Germany, supposedly heading for Syria.  Now they are back home.

The Attorney Office of Denver refused to comment the detention of young females. It is unclear whether they will be charged or not as they are minors.

There is no information on how they fell under such strong influence of the extremists that they made a decision to leave their families, lives, homeland and go to war to an absolutely unfamiliar country, thousands of kilometers away from their home.

A month earlier in the very same Colorado, in Denver suburbs, Shannon Conley, 19, who had pleaded guilty to her intention of helping Islamic State militants, was put on trial.

She was detained in April while attempting to get on plane and make it to Syria. Shannon said that in the ranks of the islamists she was going to use her knowledge and experience gained during her service in the US Army. If her military skills weren’t useful for Islamic State, she would render first aid to the wounded. Conley is now facing prison term of up to 5 years and a fine of $250,000.

Shannon, awaiting her sentence in January, declared that she had decided to support “World Jihad” under influence of a young man that she got acquainted with in social networks. He turned out to be of Tunisian descent, fighting in the ranks of the Islamic State.

The US analysts are more and more concerned that dozens of citizens of prospering western nations, including the United States, fall for radicalization and are ready to sacrifice their lives to fight against the interests of their own countries.

Now the analysts of law enforcement agencies are trying to figure out the mechanism of extremists' influence on people’s consciousness.
