A review of the situation in Ukraine in order to identify the possibility of a revision of sanctions will be held at a meeting of the EU Committee of Permanent Representatives
LUXEMBOURG, October 20. /TASS/. Another revision of the EU sanctions against Russia has been scheduled for October 28, a source has told TASS on the sidelines of the EU foreign minsters’ meeting in Luxembourg.
A review of the situation in Ukraine in order to identify the possibility of a revision of sanctions will be held at a meeting of the EU Committee of Permanent Representatives on October 28. A decision whether to preserve or revise restrictive measures against Russia will be made depending on the analysis of the situation, the source said.
The West announced sectoral sanctions against Russia in late July over Moscow’s position on Ukrainian events.
In response, Russia imposed on August 6 a one-year ban on imports of beef, pork, poultry, fish, cheeses, fruit, vegetables and dairy products from Australia, Canada, the EU, the United States and Norway.
