EU ambassadors will discuss relations with Russia and Ukraine next week
BRUSSELS, September 26. /ITAR-TASS/. The European Union is not considering the possibility of imposing any new sanctions on Russia, a diplomatic source in the EU Italian presidency told ITAR-TASS on Friday.
“EU ambassadors will discuss relations with Russia and Ukraine next week but will not consider any new sanctions against Russia,” the diplomat said.
Discussion on lift of sanctions due in October
Earlier on Friday, a European diplomatic source told ITAR-TASS the European Union may begin discussions on lifting sanctions against Russia in October, and lifting the first block of sanctions is not probable before November.
The source said the de-sanctions' process may be organized only on the step-by-step basis depending on development of the situation in Ukraine.
