NEW YORK, September 26. /ITAR-TASS/. Russian citizen Roman Seleznyov, who was charged with cyber fraud by the US authorities, has complained about disrupted communications with his lawyers.

In his complaint, Seleznyov says that despite having been moved from a separate cell to a mass cell, his communications with lawyers are “practically impossible” due to a broken microphone and a disabled negotiations links.

The defense lawyers have also rejected the claims that there might a “conflict of interests” in this case as their law firm also represents one of the alleged victims. In particular, these suggestions have resulted in postponing the hearings.

US authorities suspect Seleznyov of hacking, stealing and selling personal information on credit cards of American clients from October 2009 to February 2011. In March 2011, Washington state court brought accusations against him in absentia on 29 counts.

Seleznyov faces up to 30 years in jail and a multi-million dollar fine. The Russian suspect has rejected all the accusations. The hearing into the case is scheduled in Seattle on November 3.

Moscow claims that Seleznyov was not arrested but “kidnapped” by the US authorities and the case against him is politically motivated. Russian lawmaker Valery Seleznyov said in late August that Russia is drafting documents to initiate criminal proceedings against the alleged “kidnappers” of his son.
