Cameron to ask parliament to authorize UK's participation in operation against IS in Iraq

UNITED NATIONS, September 25. /ITAR-TASS/. UK Prime Minister David Cameron will ask parliament to authorize the country’s participation in a military operation against the Islamic State group in Iraq.

"It is right that Britain should now move to a new phase of action. I am therefore recalling the British Parliament on Friday to secure approval for the United Kingdom to take part in international air strikes against ISIL in Iraq," the British prime minister stated.

The Islamic State (IS), also known as the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) and the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), is a terrorist organization. It recently posted a shocking video clip on the web where its militant apparently beheads American journalist James Foley.
