MOSCOW, September 24. /ITAR-TASS/. Palestine will present a new program for the settlement of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict at the 69th session of the U.N. General Assembly, Palestinian Ambassador to Russia Fayed Mustafa said on Wednesday.

The program envisages setting concrete terms to create a Palestinian state and determine its borders, Mustafa said.

“On September 26 Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas will give a speech at the U.N. General Assembly to speak about political steps in relations with Israel and our new program. We intend to submit it to the U.N. Security Council so that it may adopt a corresponding resolution,” he said.

“Palestinians believe that it is necessary to set a final date for settling the Palestinian-Israeli issue. The previous mechanism yielded to nothing. Israel continues expanding settlers’ on its territories. We want a final date to be determined to create a Palestinian state. We’ll take in further talks on this basis. In the beginning of the talks we want to raise a question over the Palestinian border to prevent Israelis from creating its settlements on these territories,” Mustafa said.

The new settlement plan is supported by the Fatah and Hamas movements, he said.

Palestine also hopes that its initiative will be approved by many world countries that uphold the recognition of the Palestinian state. “The United States did not support this initiative,” Mustafa said.

If the U.N. Security Council backs the new plan, Palestine will continue its policy to joining international organizations, including the International Criminal Court, he said.
