On Sunday, September 21, the sides exchanged prisoners of war on the “28 for 28” basis

DONETSK, September 22. /ITAR-TASS/. Another exchange of the prisoners of war is most likely due on Wednesday this week, head of the Donetsk Republic’s committee on prisoners of war Daria Morozova told ITAR-TASS on Monday.

“We are discussing lists now,” she said. “The exchange is due in two days.”

On Sunday, September 21, the sides exchanged prisoners of war on the “28 for 28” basis. A released militia told ITAR-TASS “the Ukrainian law enforcers subjected them to repeated physical abuse and would not give food.”

On Saturday, September 20, the Republic and Kiev exchanged prisoners of war on the “38 for 38” basis. The exchange, which took place 60 kilometers from Donetsk, was observed by the OSCE mission. It was over at 18:35 local time (7:35pm Moscow time).

According to the decisions of the Contact Group, which met in Minsk on September 5, exchange of prisoners of war should be organized on the “all for all” basis.
