Ebola death toll hits 2,600 — WHO

GENEVA, September 18. /ITAR-TASS/. The deadliest Ebola epidemic in history has claimed 2,630 lives, the World Health Organisation (WHO) said on Thursday.
A total of 5,347 people were infected with the Ebola virus and 45% of the cases have been recorded over the past three weeks, mainly in Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone, the UN health agency said.
The WHO also said that 151 health workers were among the Ebola victims.
