MOSCOW, September 18. /ITAR-TASS/. The leader of Bosnian Serbs, Milorad Dodik, has requested 1 billion euro from Russia on Thursday as financial assistance for coping with the aftermath of the devastating flood that hit the nation this May.
“I understand the current Russian situation, but for us this is maybe the only chance to survive,” said the president of Republika Srpska, which is an entity within Bosnia and Herzegovina, at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Dodik added that the requested sum amounts to the republic’s annual budget.
