OSCE monitoring mission in Ukraine should be strengthened due to the organization's key role in the Ukrainian crisis resolution
STRASBOURG, September 18. /ITAR-TASS/. Monitors of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe should be deployed along the militia-controlled sections of the Russian-Ukrainian border, the European Parliament said in a resolution on Thursday.
The European Parliament urged the EU member-states to help strengthen the OSCE monitoring mission in Ukraine highlighting the organization's key role in the Ukrainian crisis resolution.
The European Parliament also hailed Kiev's plans to hold parliamentary elections to the Verkhovna Rada, the country's parliament, and called on the Ukrainian authorities to ensure transparency of the election campaigns.
