DONETSK, September 16. /ITAR-TASS/. The self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk people's republics have decided to establish united armed forces, the Donetsk republic's press service said on Tuesday.

The forces will unite militia formations of the self-proclaimed republics. The new structure will be called the United Armed Forces of Novorossiya, the press service said.

Lieutenant General Ivan Korsun was appointed the armed forces' commander.
