US, EU latest sanctions run counter to WTO norms — ministry
BRUSSELS, September 12. /ITAR-TASS/. Russia’s ministry of economic development claims the latest US and EU sanctions against Russia run counter the norms of the World Trade Organization (WTO) like the previous ones, Minister Alexei Ulyukayev said on Friday.
“Yes, I think that the previous package was a ground to apply to the World Trade Organization and we shall do it,” he told journalists. “But we shall do it without haste, we shall provide maximum reason and arguments in our request.
Russia will not use the most favoured nation regime in respect of Ukraine until its association agreement with the European Union is implemented, Russian Minister of Economic Development Alexei Ulyukayev said on Friday.
“Since Ukraine and the European Union have undertaken not to apply provisions after the ratification till December 31, 2015, Russia undertakes not to apply the most favoured nation regime till the same date,” he said.
