Russia sends humanitarian aid to Bosnia and Herzegovina

BELGRADE, September 11. /ITAR-TASS/. The Russian Emergencies Ministry delivered on Thursday a 38-ton humanitarian cargo to Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina hit by devastating floods in May.
The cargo includes generators, water pumps, food, tents, blankets and other essentials.
Samir Agich, a senior official at the country's Defence Ministry, thanked Russia for the humanitarian aid and praised friendly relations between the two countries.
The floods in May affected 40% of Bosnia and Herzegovina's territory, wrecking theagriculture and infrastructure and forcing almost a quarter of the population of 4 million to leave their homes.
