DONETSK, September 8. /ITAR-TASS/. The airliner wreckage still remains at the crash site, First Vice-Premier of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic Andrei Purgin told ITAR-TASS.

“Fragments of the Boeing have not been taken from the site yet. Only half is gathered, but the plane itself is needed for nobody. There was so much of hysteria, but as a result, the plane remains lying,” Purgin said.

A group of 30 Malaysian experts flew out for Ukraine overnight. Malaysian Interior Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said one of the tasks of the work was to gather evidence pieces to present them to a court to establish whether the airliner was shot down by a missile. The work of experts became possible after an agreement on a ceasefire was reached on September 5 and the OSCE guaranteed safety.

Experts are expected to begin the search operation as soon as possible as it may begin snowing in a few weeks at the crash site and it will complicate the work, the minister said.

He also said that divers were in the group, who would examine a lake near the crash site. Last time it was impossible because of continuing fighting near the area.

The last search operation lasted less than a week and was ended on August 6 because of safety risks for international experts.

Malaysian police chief Halid Abu Bakar said the specialists examined less than a half of the area and did not take any fragments from the site that time.

Malaysia Airlines’ Boeing on flight MH17 from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur crashed in eastern Ukraine’s Donetsk region on July 17, killing all the 298 people who were on board.
