VIENNA, September 08. /ITAR-TASS/. A ceasefire reached between the Ukrainian government and militia forces is largely holding in eastern Ukraine, the chairman of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe said on Monday.
"Overall the ceasefire held even though it is still shaky," Thomas Greminger said, adding the next days would be crucial.
He also said 250 OSCE monitors were currently deployed in Ukraine.
The ceasefire deal was signed in the Belarusian capital, Minsk, on Friday between the Kiev government and representatives of the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics. The truce came into effect on Friday evening.
