Donetsk Republic Defense Ministry says no official orders to stop fire yet

President Petro Poroshenko of Ukraine ordered the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces to cease fire in the zones of combat operations in the eastern Donetsk and Luhansk regions

DONETSK, September 05. /ITAR-TASS/. The Defense Ministry of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) has received no official orders on a ceasefire, a ministry spokesman told ITAR-TASS on Friday.

“We have not received a document with a seal yet,” the spokesman said. He said that as soon as the document is signed, it will be published on the DPR’s official website DNR.today.

President Petro Poroshenko of Ukraine ordered the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces to cease fire in the zones of combat operations in the eastern Donetsk and Luhansk regions as of 15:00 hrs GMT Friday, the presidential press service said.

"Proceeding from the appeal to stop gunfire, which President Vladimir Putin of Russia issued to the heads of palamilitary grouings in the Donbass area, and from the singing of a protocol on implementation of the Ukrainian President's peace plan at a meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group, I am issuing this order to the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces to cease fire as of 18:00 hrs (local time ITAR-TASS) September 5," the presidential statement said.
